A well-rounded success at bdtronic and KOSTAL

Weikersheim, November 2023 - bdtronic, a global leading manufacturer of dispensing systems for the automotive and electronics industries, is delighted to celebrate the successful and long-standing partnership with KOSTAL, a renowned provider in the field of e-mobility and green energy, with the delivery of the 5000th system. Together, these two companies have significantly advanced the worldwide adoption of electromobility over the course of 15 years. KOSTAL's customers include major automotive manufacturers, such as VW.

A variety of bdtronic machines are in use at KOSTAL worldwide

Since the beginning of this decades-long partnership, bdtronic has delivered a variety of systems to KOSTAL, emphasizing the strength and trust in this long-term collaboration.

This cooperation now reaches another milestone with the delivery of the system bearing the impressive serial number 5000 – a vacuum potting system integrated with an oven in the dispensing process. During the factory acceptance, it's not just one system being handed over; four additional Gapfiller systems are ready to embark on their journey to Macedonia. There, they will be used for the production of OBCs (On-Board Chargers). The bdtronic systems apply thermally conductive materials for heat dissipation, and they also encapsulate critical electronic components under vacuum, protecting them from external influences. Both functions enhance the safety and efficiency of charging and operating electric vehicles.

The partnership between bdtronic and KOSTAL extends globally across multiple countries and continents. In addition to locations in Ireland, Mexico, and Macedonia, both companies have also successfully implemented systems in China, a key market for electromobility. This enables them to serve leading electric vehicle manufacturers worldwide and collaborate in shaping the future of electromobility.

Two pioneers in the field of e-mobility

As pioneers in the field of e-mobility and green energy, KOSTAL focuses on the development and manufacturing of On-Board Chargers (OBCs) as well as inverters for the photovoltaic industry. These products play a crucial role in providing efficient and reliable power supply for electric vehicles.

"The longstanding partnership with KOSTAL fills us with pride," says Andy Jorissen, CCO of bdtronic. "Together, we have developed groundbreaking machine process solutions that drive electromobility and the use of green energy worldwide. The delivery of the system with serial number 5000 is a significant milestone on our shared journey." Ömer Öztürk, CFO of bdtronic, adds, "For bdtronic, this partnership also means a lot of planning security for the company, which is no longer taken for granted in today's world with all the changes. We will continue to create secure and forward-looking jobs in the Taubertal region. High-tech dispensing systems from bdtronic in Weikersheim are a benchmark for quality in the industry worldwide."

bdtronic and KOSTAL are committed to further expanding their partnership and advancing innovative solutions for e-mobility. Together, they are shaping the future of e-mobility and contributing to the creation of a sustainable and environmentally friendly world.
